December 15, 2014
Sydney, Australia – Man Haron Monis stormed a downtown café in Sydney and held employees and customers hostage for over 16 hours. Two captives died along with the gunman. source
December 16, 2014
Peshawar, Pakistan – Pakistani Taliban militants attacked an army-run school in north-west Pakistan. Over 140 people were killed, most of whom were children. source
January 7, 2015
Paris, France – Masked gunmen, Sai Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, attacked the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris, France. The attacks lasted over the span of three days and ended with the death of 17 people by at least 3 terror suspects. source
January 27, 2015
Tripoli, Libya – A luxury hotel was bombed and raided by gunmen in Tripoli. At least ten people died and several others were injured. source
February 10, 2015
Sydney, Australia – Counterterrorism police arrested Omar Al-Kutobi and Mohammad Kiad in a Sydney suburb for plotting to carry out an act of terrorism. Police raided the home and found evidence linking to the Islamic State militant group. source
February 13, 2015
Ngouboua, Chad – Boko Haram, a Nigeria-based militant group, have widened its attacks to a fourth country by striking a village in Chad in the early morning as residents slept. source
February 15, 2015
Copenhagen, Denmark – Omar Abdel Hamid el-Hussein believed to be behind two attacks was shot and killed by Copenhagen police. The first attack took place on Saturday at a cultural center and the second on Sunday just outside a synagogue. Two men were killed during the attacks. source
February 17, 2015
Kasserine, Tunisia – Around 20 al-Qaeda-linked militants attacked a checkpoint, killing four police officers and stealing their weapons. Home raids were also carried out near El Kef by a separate group of militants. source
Kabul, Afghanistan – Four Taliban suicide bombers disguised in Afghan police uniforms infiltrated Police Headquarters killing at least 20 officers. source
February 20, 2015
Al-Qubbah, Libya – Three separate suicide car bombing in Al-Qubbah killed at least 40 people and wounded dozens in eastern Libya. The bombs were set off near a petrol station, police station, and home. source

Minnesota, United States – A video released by Somali-based terror group, Al-Shabaab, calls for attacks on malls located in the US, Canada, and UK. Many of the shopping centers have heightened security including Minnesota’s Mall of America. source
March 4, 2015
Aleppo, Syria – A Syrian branch of al-Qaeda attacked the intelligence headquarters of Syria’s air force. Insurgents bombed the building and then launched a ground assault. At least 20 members of the security forces and 14 insurgents were killed in the attack. source
March 7, 2015
Maiduguri, Nigeria – Multiple suicide and car bomb attacks have killed at least 50 and wounded over 140. Blasts occurred within hours of each other at two markets, a post office, bus station, and military checkpoint. source
Nigeria – In an audio statement by Boko Haram, the extremist group has officially pledged allegiance to the Islamic State militant group. source
March 10, 2015
Ceuta, Spain – Two men suspected of plotting an attack in Spain or its neighboring countries have been arrested. The suspects were previously in contact with Islamic State militants. source
